VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck on Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach on Tuesday.
According to a press release from Virginia State Police, they received calls about a pedestrian crash at the on-ramp from London Bridge to I-264 West around 1:29 p.m.
VSP said an elderly woman had gotten out of her disabled vehicle when she was struck by a red Chevrolet Silverado attempting to merge onto the interstate. The woman was taken to Virginia Beach General in critical condition.
As of 4:25 p.m., troopers were still at the scene, investigating the accident.
