VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — One man was injured in a shooting in Virginia Beach on Sunday evening.
Virginia Beach police officers responded to reports of gunfire from gunshot detection technology at 6:51 p.m. in the 5800 block of West Hastings Arch. When they arrived, officers located a victim with injuries sustained from gunfire, according to a police department spokesman.
The person has been taken to a hospital for treatment. The police department did not immediately release the victim’s condition.
Officers and detectives are on the scene investigating the circumstances of the shooting. They have not yet released any suspect information.
