VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) — The new mayor of Virginia Beach, Bobby Dyer, is planning a series of meet and greet events around the city.
The events will give the Marine Corps veteran the chance to meet and talk with residents about issues important to them.
Mayor Dyer will be available for an hour at of the following locations:
- Wed., Dec. 12, 1-2 p.m. Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1400 Nimmo Parkway
- Wed., Dec. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Kempsville Recreation Center, 800 Monmouth Lane
- Thur., Dec. 13, 5-6 p.m., Oceanfront Area Library, 700 Virginia Beach Blvd.
- Fri., Dec. 14, 2-3 p.m., Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.
- Tue., Dec. 18, 4-5 p.m., Bow Creek Recreation Center, 3427 Club House Road
- Wed., Dec. 19, 5-6 p.m., Bayside Recreation Center, 4500 First Court Road
Dyer has been a Councilman from Virginia Beach since July of 2004. His resume includes being an accomplished Civic and Higher Education Professional for over 25 years. Since July of 2015, he currently worked as a physical therapist at a Virginia Beach business.
