VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) — Nicole Foxx, a 37-year-old woman from Virginia Beach, was given the maximum sentence of 10 years, but three of those years were suspended leaving her with seven left to serve. Her sentence on her 2017 Voluntary manslaughter charge was given Tuesday, Sept. 25.
In March of 2017, police charged Foxx in the murder of 65-year-old Richard Bielitz.
Bielitz was found killed inside his home in the 4800 block of Oldwick Court that neighbors had described as a safe place to live.
Josh Perry, Bielitz's neighbor at the time, described Foxx as nice saying she would sit outside and talk to him and "just a real neighborly type person."
