VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A retirement community in Virginia Beach is once again celebrating the holiday season with a special event to raise money.
The Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay's "Festival of Trees" will take place Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
The event will have decorated trees available for bidding, as well as a silent auction. The proceeds will support the Westminster-Canterbury Foundation, which according to the organization's website, "leverages the power of living in community to maximize joy and wellness."
Event organizers said last year's event raised more than $83,000 and they're looking forward to an even bigger event in 2023.
