VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Two people have died, and two others have been seriously injured in a stabbing that turned into a police shooting Saturday night, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD).
VBPD responded to a call reporting a stabbing in the 4100 block of White Beam Court around 7:02 p.m. When officers arrived they found an armed man.
According to police, when the man disregarded verbal commands from the officers and "attempts at less lethal force" were ineffective, officers shot the man. He died from his injuries.
Three victims were found inside the house. One person was dead and two others are in critical condition, police said.
VBPD is still investigating this incident.
