Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office helps kids splash into summer

The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office treated students from three elementary schools to a day at Ocean Breeze Water Park.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office (VBSO) is helping kids splash into summer!

On Monday, VBSO treated students from Birdneck Elementary School, W.T. Cooke Elementary School and An Achievable Dream Academy at Seatack Elementary School to a day at Ocean Breeze Water Park!

This event is part of the VBSO's community engagement initiative to foster a positive relationship between the community and law enforcement.

The event was previously postponed due to inclement weather last month.

"Nothing says summer like a day at the water park, and working with Ocean Breeze we want to ensure that these kids have the opportunity to experience this summertime tradition," said Virginia Beach Sheriff Rocky Holcomb. "We're excited to treat these students to a day at Ocean Breeze filled with swimming, prizes, food and family-friendly fun. Let's 'Splash into Summer' and make lasting memories with family, friends and the VBSO."
