VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man has been arrested in connection to 32 larceny cases, the Virginia Beach Police Department shared Tuesday.
46-year-old Jerome London El was arrested for a string of retail larcenies spanning from May 25 to Sept. 11, 2024.
Using the Flock License Plate Reader technology to locate him, officers were able to arrest London El on Sept. 12.
He was taken to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center on 13 warrants from the cities of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk. He is accused of stealing over $25,000 in merchandise in Virginia Beach alone, according to police.
London El faces 16 total charges including six felony counts of stolen property with intent to sell, six felony counts of grand larceny and two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny. His other charges concern possession of a scheduled substance and simple assault.
