VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Three firefighters were hurt battling a fire in Virginia Beach Wednesday morning, officials say.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) says crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Semmie Drive near Princess Anne Road around 4:15 a.m. for a house fire that started because a garage fire from the night before had rekindled.
When crews arrived around ten minutes after being dispatched and found the home they found the house was completely engulfed by the fire. No one was home at the time.
Three VBFD firefighters were injured due to an exterior wall collapsing. Their injuries are non-life-threatening.
Three people have been displaced from their home.
The original fire is under investigation.
