Golf tournament fundraiser coming up in Virginia Beach

The Virginia African American Cultural Center (VAACC) is holding its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 13 at the Cypress Point Country Club.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A special golf tournament fundraiser is returning to Virginia Beach. 

The Virginia African American Cultural Center (VAACC) is holding its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 13 at the Cypress Point Country Club.

The event will serve to aid in continuing the VAACC’s programming, community events, and building the Virginia African American Cultural Center which will be located at 744 Hampshire Lane in Virginia Beach. 

In addition to the tournament, golfers will get to enjoy a performance by award-winning R&B artist Talton Manning at the country club, following the awards luncheon.

According to the VAACC, its stated mission is: "To collect, preserve, interpret, inform and celebrate Virginia’s African American history, culture and community and to educate the public about African Americans’ contributions in all areas of endeavor."

The Golf Tournament will be held June 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cypress Point Country Club, located at 5340 Club Head Road in Virginia Beach. Talton Manning's performance will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
