Motorcyclist dies in crash, suspect charged with DUI after crash on Ferrell Parkway

A man is dead after a crash on Friday night in the 5000 block of Ferrell Pkwy. Brittany Harris, the suspect driving the other vehicle has been charged with a DUI.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A motorcyclist is dead after a woman driving under the influence hit him Friday night.

The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is now investigating the fatal crash that happened in the 5000 block of Ferrell Pkwy on Aug. 16. 

Officers arrived at the scene just after 9 p.m. There, they found the driver of the motorcycle, 53-year-old Randall Gollihur had been hit and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle, 35-year-old Brittany Harris was initially arrested and charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and DUI refusal.

On Monday, the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney additionally charged Harris with DUI Manslaughter.

This incident is still under investigation.
