VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Virginia Beach city leaders held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning for the new and improved Cavalier Hotel.
The ceremony started at 11 a.m. Guests can officially check into the hotel starting March 7.
The renovations took more than four years and 80 million dollars to complete.
The hotel has 85 rooms and suites, three restaurants, an event space, and a new Cavalier beach Club with an infinity pool.
U.S. presidents including Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon visited the historic hotel.
