VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A shooting suspect is behind bars in Virginia Beach.
Police said they arrested 37-year-old Sean J. Long for a shooting at a 7-Eleven on Aragona Boulevard back on December 30.
Virginia Beach Crime Solvers initially said the suspect waited for the victim to come out of the gas station, went up to the man, and shot him.
The victim survived.
Long is charged with malicious wounding, grand larceny, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm.
"We heard the gunshots, came to the window. Everybody came outside," a neighbor who lives across the street previously told 13News Now.
"If we need something for our children or something like that, the adults will go. We can't send our kids over there," the neighbor added.
