Some roads still flooded in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) --  Flooding has begun to recede, but some roads remain wahed out in the Pungo and Sandbridge areas of Virginia Beach.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Flooding has begun to recede, but some roads remain wahed out in the Pungo and Sandbridge areas of Virginia Beach.

As of Wednesday morning, one lane of Sandbridge Road was back open, with Virginia Beach Police monitoring and directing traffic. The back gate of Dam Neck is closed.

High water signs are up for the following streets:

  • 2300 Block of Pungo Ferry Road -- MINOR WATER, ROAD PASSABLE
  • Sandbridge Road/Entrada Drive -- SANDBRIDGE RD STILL FLOODED
  • Newbridge Road/Sandbridge Road -- MINOR WATER, ROAD PASSABLE
  • 4200 Block of Muddy Creek Road -- STILL FLOODED
  • Pleasant Ridge Road/Muddy Creed Road -- STILL FLOODED
  • Nanny's Creek Area -- STILL FLOODED
  • 2200 Block of Indian River Road -- MINOR WATER, ROAD PASSABLE
