VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A popular seafood restaurant will remain closed after it flooded for the second time in less than a week.

The owners of Blue Pete's were hoping to be back up and running this weekend, but south winds brought floodwater back inside the building. Wind and heavy rain first flooded the Pungo restaurant on Monday night.

The latest round of storms on Friday into Saturday again flooded Blue Pete's. Owner Aristotle Cleanthes now hopes to have the restaurant drained, cleaned up, and back open in time for Mother's Day weekend next week.

You can follow the restaurant's progress by visiting their Facebook Page.
