VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A woman accused of stabbing her mother to death posted a picture of the murder weapon and a letter on social media, according to court documents.
India Hugh Kong Johnson, 20, is charged with murdering her mother, 49-year-old Annanya Linkeow Hugh-Kong, at their Virginia Beach apartment in June.
According to a search warrant filed by police, knives were recovered at the home, and a picture of one of the knives she used was posted on social media accounts associated with Johnson.
The court paperwork said a note recovered by detectives at the crime scene was also posted Johnson's Tumblr account.
Johnson's last post, under the name "gypsy420lust," is a sketch of a masked woman with writing beneath it. It begins with, "To love yourself is a blessing." The letter ends with an incomplete sentence, "Learning to take matters into my own..."
Beach officers have responded to Hugh-Kong and Johnson's apartment twice before the stabbing. One of their calls were for "a mental case," according to police.
Johnson has said she plans on taking a mental health defense, according to a court document.
She's currently being held at a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
A competency hearing is scheduled for October 26.
