Parks After Dark returns to Virginia Beach

The goal of the program is to keep kids busy and safe over the summer.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Parks After Dark is back in Virginia Beach!

The goal of the program is to keep kids busy and safe over the summer. Parks After Dark event series from Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation will be on most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6-11 p.m. from June 6 through Aug. 24.

Families can enjoy live music, movies, lawn games, food and video game tournaments at Williams Farm Park this summer.

"We are excited for the return of Parks After Dark this summer to offer free, family fun for all," said Michael Kirschman, director of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation. "This is a program created for the local community, by the local community. In 2023, Parks After Dark hosted 28 evening events with more than 12,000 visitors over the course of the summer."
