VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives or N.O.B.L.E. is hosting a training conference in Virginia Beach from Thursday through Saturday.
N.O.B.L.E. was founded with the principle of addressing crime in urban low-income areas. There are 56 chapters in the six regions.
The Hampton Roads Chapter of N.O.B.L.E. organizes community events, coat drives, toy drives, and community engagement in general.
State, local, and federal law enforcement departments will be at the career fair this weekend at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. Organizers say it's a great opportunity to learn about a career in law enforcement and apply for positions.
They will also be hosting a training session on diversity equity and inclusion, restorative justice, better money habits, law enforcement mental health, and more.
Local law enforcement leaders like Norfolk Chief Mark Talbot will be in attendance. Chief Talbot will be talking about transforming organizational culture.
