VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Major League Baseball's "Pitch, Hit & Run" event has made its way to Hampton Roads, giving students with Virginia Beach City Public Schools the opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills on Wednesday.
The free program gives registered students between the ages of 7 and 14 the chance to show off how well they can pitch, hit and run, and how they can apply those movements to baseball and softball.
Kids' skills are scored and tested, then those with the highest scores will advance from the local event to a team championship.
If they succeed in that as well, they could win an all-expenses-paid trip to compete during the finals hosted at the 2024 World Series!
