Find 'the joy and celebration in life' | Marlon Wayans on finding happiness through grief

Marlon Wayans will be at the Virginia Beach Funny Bone from Friday, Aug. 2, to Sunday, Aug. 4.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Get ready to laugh Virginia Beach! Marlon Wayans is coming to town.

Wayans has announced he will be performing at Virginia Beach Funny Bone Comedy Club from Friday, Aug. 2 to Sunday, Aug. 4.

The comedian, actor, and producer has earned over $736 million at the domestic box office and $1 billion worldwide. Wayans is known for his roles in blockbuster comedies such as "White Chicks," "Scary Movie," and "A Haunted House."

Wayans just finished filming a new comedy special on Prime Video called “Marlon Wayans: Good Grief.” The comedy special highlights how Marlon works through grief following the recent loss of his parents.

"It's about finding the joy and celebration in life, and that you can still laugh even after your parents are gone and your loved ones go," said Wayans. "It's what's good about grief, and it's really funny."

He also just finished production starring in the film "Him" from Universal Pictures and Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw banner. The film will be out in theatres on September 19, 2025.

"I always made fun of horror," said Wayans. "This is my first actual horror [role]. It's a psychological horror thriller set in the world of football."
