VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man has died after an officer-involved shooting Tuesday night, the Virginia Beach Police Department said.
Police responded to a call reporting a suspicious person in the 4600 block of Virginia Beach Blvd around 11:06 p.m. When the officers arrived, they found a man with a sharp object. Police said the man advanced towards one of the officers and ignored commands to stop. The officer shot the man and he he died on the scene. The officer was not injured.
This incident is currently under investigation.
