VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — While Virginia Beach firefighters help others, the Virginia Hunting Dog Alliance is helping them by providing a Thanksgiving meal for those working the holiday.
The group is serving meals to about half a dozen fire stations in Virginia Beach.
The group donated turkeys, greens, pies, and other Thanksgiving dinner staples to fire stations across Virginia Beach.
Group members say they wanted to provide the meals because firefighters work so hard to keep the community safe.
And they know it's especially hard for them to be away from home and working during the holidays.
