VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A lightning strike caused a house fire on Sunday evening, the Virginia Beach Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 2000 block of Bierce Drive at 5:46 p.m. When crews arrived firefighters found fire and smoke damage in the attic.
No residents were home when crews arrived, no one was injured.
VBFD determined the fire to be accidental and caused by a lightning strike.
