VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Six-time Grammy award-winning singer Dionne Warwick is coming to the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach this summer.
Warwick was discovered in 1961 and went on to record 18 consecutive Top 100 singles including "Don't Make Me Over," "Walk on By," and "A House is Not a Home," among others. According to her press release, she participated in the recording of "That's What Friends Are For," in 1985 which became a number-one hit worldwide and raised awareness for AIDS research.
She was also a part of the famous all-star charity single, "We Are the World."
The concert is taking place on July 15 at 7:30 p.m., Warwick's first-ever time performing at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.
