VALLEY, Alabama — A Virginia Beach man died following a car crash over the weekend in Alabama, local authorities said.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 18. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said a 2012 Nissan Sentra was driving on the Lee County 379 Highway when it went off the road, hit a culvert and stop sign, before crashing into multiple trees.
ALEA said the driver, 28-year-old Nicholas Faison of Virginia Beach, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was thrown from his vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division.
