VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — UPDATE: The Virginia Beach Police Department said Benjamin Tellez was found safe in North Carolina.
PREVIOUS STORY: Police are looking for a 79-year-old man missing out of Virginia Beach Friday afternoon.
Benjamin Tellez was last seen Thursday around 3 p.m. leaving his residence on Slalom Drive, according to Virginia State Police (VSP). He was wearing black sweatpants and a black shirt.
Tellez is possibly driving a green 2012 Toyota Camry displaying Virginia plates WMR4552. The vehicle was last seen on Armory Drive in Franklin around 8 a.m. Friday.
VSP ordered a Critically Missing Adult Alert for Tellez on behalf of the Virginia Beach Police Department since his disappearance threatens his health and safety.
