VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Cox High School had to be evacuated Tuesday morning after reports of a gas leak inside the building.
According to dispatch, the Virginia Beach Fire Department was alerted to the leak shortly after 8:30 a.m. Fire units arrived and located the source of the leak, which was isolated to a butane gas canister inside one of the classrooms.
Firefighters brought in fans to help air out the building.
No injuries have been reported, students and staff have since been allowed to return to class.
