VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A chlorine leak at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach prompted a hazmat response Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the base confirmed.
The leak was discovered in the Gator Pool at around 9:20 a.m. With the help of the Virginia Beach Fire Department, the Navy Fire Response was able to contain the leak.
At this time, the cause of the leak remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
No injuries were reported.
