VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Four people and their two dogs are without a home after a chimney fire spread at a Virginia Beach house in the Lagomar neighborhood Saturday afternoon, officials confirmed.
Heavy smoke was coming from the roof of the home on Entrada Drive near Atwoodtown Road just after 12:15 p.m., the Virginia Beach Fire Department said. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control at around 1:05 p.m.
No one was reported injured during the incident.
Investigators determined the blaze started in the fireplace.
