VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach Police say that a vehicle crash that happened Thursday morning has closed both directions of traffic and sent a person to the hospital.
Police say the crash happened around 6:10 a.m. on Oceana Boulevard which goes along Naval Air Station Oceana. A vehicle and a tractor-trailer crashed. A person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Traffic had been closed in both directions from Bells Road to Louisa Avenue Thursday morning. They had also said there was a heavy police presence asking drivers to find a detour and avoid the area while their Traffic Safety Unit investigated and cleared the scene.
