VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The annual Jackalope Festival is bringing three days of pure adrenaline to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront!
This year's festival, which will be held from May 31 to June 2, is packed with skateboarding, bouldering, Moto X, base jumping, and many other sports competitions by athletes. The event is free to the public.
"Following last year's warm reception, we are looking forward to bringing the action sports community together again in Virginia Beach," said Micah Desforges, Founding President of TRIBU and Producer of JACKALOPE, in a press release. "The entire team was impressed by the raw enthusiasm that swept over last year’s festival, and thanks to the continued trust of our partner Virginia Beach, JACKALOPE 2024 will take things to the next level with a skateboard competition and a gravity-defying vert ramp event."
There will be an open vert ramp, streets groms, vert groms, open bouldering, BMX demo, and swim boarding.
The festival originated as the ultimate event for Canada's action sports community. It gathers top athletes and professionals in featured sports and enthusiasts.
Pro athletes including skateboarder Dave Bachinsky, skateboarder Collin Graham, BMX rider Robbie Madison; skateboarder Mitchie Brusco, and BMX rider Zach Dipaolo will be attending this year's festival.
Jackalope will host two other festivals this year, both of which will be held in Canada. Jackalope Mississauga takes place from July 12 to 14 at Celebration Square and Square One Shopping Centre. Then, from Sept. 13 to 15 Jackalope Montreal will be happening at the Old Port of Montreal.
