VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A woman is dead following a vehicle crash Sunday night in Virginia Beach, according to the city's police department.
Around 6:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of an crash at the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway and South Rosemont Road.
A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of the first vehicle attempted to turn left without the right of way, and then struck the passenger side of the second vehicle in the intersection.
Nazare Guerrero-Reyes, 20, of Virginia Beach was the passenger of the second vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital where she died.
The drivers of both vehicles were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
This incident is being investigated by the VBPD Traffic Safety Unit. Charges are anticipated against the driver of the first vehicle.
