VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Two people are being treated for their injuries after a fire in the 1500 block of Winter Road in Virginia Beach Sunday night.
The fire in the Thoroughgood area was reported at 7:10 p.m. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames from the front of the single-story house.
Two people were taken to the hospital – one for smoke inhalation and one for minor burns. One cat was removed from the house deceased.
Three adults are displaced. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
