VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man has been seriously injured in a crash involving an alleged drunk driver on Sunday, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) said.
VBPD responded to an accident involving a pedestrian in the 1600 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they found a 67-year-old man struck by a vehicle. He was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.
The driver, Anays Shaw, 27, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and maiming another while driving under the influence.
