Wreaths Across America Day celebrated at Suffolk memorial veterans cemetery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — Wreaths were laid on veterans’ graves at more than 1,400 cemeteries across the U.S. in commemoration of Wreaths Across America Day.

In Suffolk, more than 8,000 wreaths were laid at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.

It's mission is to remember, honor and teach "by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad."
