SUFFOLK, Va. — A 17-year-old is in the hospital after a shooting in Suffolk on Thursday.
Suffolk police say that around 9:45 a.m., dispatchers received a call for service for a shot person in the 200 block of North Broad Street.
Police say that the incident occurred after a verbal argument between the victim and suspect, 30-year-old Kameron Lee Goudy.
The 17-year-old boy was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Goudy has been arrested and is charged with felony malicious wounding, felony reckless handling of a firearm, and felony shooting in public.
Goudy is being held without bond in Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
