SUFFOLK, Va. — The City of Suffolk activated two more red light cameras on Tuesday.
Crews have been installing the red light cameras at nine intersections across the city, but before Tuesday, only one had gone live.
The red light camera at Lake Prince Drive and Pruden Boulevard has been active for a few weeks now. City officials said two new cameras have now gone live at Bridge Road and College Drive, as well as Bridge Road and Harbour View Boulevard.
Starting Wednesday, drivers will have a 30-day warning period to adjust. During those 30 days, drivers who break red light rules will get a warning letter in the mail.
After the warning period ends on March 21, you'll have to pay a $50 fine.
More information about Suffolk's red light camera program can be found on its website.
