Suffolk police investigating armed robbery at gas station

The armed robbery happened at the Murphy Oil Gas Station in the 1200 block of North Main Street.

SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk police are investigating a commercial armed robbery on Sunday morning.

The incident was called in around 6:26 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Main Street.

A person entered the Murphy Oil Gas Station with a gun and showed it to the clerk.

The person demanded money and cigarettes.

The person ran from the store with cash and cigarettes.

The surveillance video shows a man wearing a green jacket, blue hoodie, black blue jeans, and black shoes.

The man is seen wearing a scarf or mask covering his face.

The person also can be seen with a scar on the outside of his right wrist.

No one was injured. Police are still investigating the armed robbery.
