SUFFOLK, Va. — The City of Suffolk Fire & Rescue (SFR) welcomed its newest personnel member on Tuesday!
According to a Facebook reel created by the department, Vega is a Dutch Shepard from Poland trained in explosive detection.
On Tuesday, Vega was sworn in as the department's first K9 after earning certification with the Virginia Police Work Dog Association with Investigator DeLugo in August.
Randy Carter, the clerk of Suffolk Circuit Court, performed the swearing-in.
