SUFFOLK, Va. — It was a messy evening on Suffolk roads, as multiple car crashes led to a half-dozen people being sent to local hospitals.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue said the first accident happened around 4 p.m. in the 2900 block of Godwin Boulevard, near Sentara Obici Hospital. Two vehicles were involved in the crash and two people were taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Later in the evening, Suffolk Fire and Rescue said two more crashes -- one where Holland Road enters Route 58 and another at N. Main Street and E. Constance Road -- resulted in four more people being hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
All of the accidents are under investigation. There's no word on if any charges will be filed in any of the crashes.
