SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk is gearing up for the summer season, with Parks & Recreation announcing the line-up for its free Outdoor Movie Series: Saturday Cinema.

"Get ready for not one, but six unforgettable nights under the stars!" according to a release from the City of Suffolk.

All summer long and into early fall, Suffolk residents are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to come enjoy a free movie in the park.

It all kicks off at Bennett's Creek Park on Saturday, May 25, where attendees can kick back and soak in the nostalgia of the beloved "Space Jam." The film is set to begin at 8:15 p.m., but organizers encourage movie-goers to come enjoy the fun beginning two hours earlier.

"Arrive early to jump in the bounce house or take aim at our inflatable basketball hoop," the release reads. "Meet Daffy Duck’s cousins and Bugs Bunny’s grandchildren at our petting zoo. Then swing by our craft tent to design a sneaker or make a mini basketball hoop."

Here's the rest of the line-up:

  • "Barbie" at Downtown Festival Park on June 22
  • "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” at Holland Park on July 27
  • "Wonka" at Downtown Festival Park on Aug. 24
  • "Elemental" at Holland Park on Sept. 21
  • "The Nightmare Before Christmas at Bennett's Creek Park on Oct. 19
