SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk Fire & Rescue had to respond to the 2000 block of Maple Leaf Crescent around 3 p.m. today for a residential structure fire.
Two adults and one child were home at the time of the fire but were unharmed and did not request assistance from the American Red Cross.
Smoke and fire were visible from the first floor of the home, primarily at the front door and porch. The fire was placed under control after twenty minutes on scene.
The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire at this time.
