SUFFOLK, Va. — Two people have been displaced after a fire in Suffolk Monday morning.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue say they received a call about the incident around 4:55 a.m. and they responded to 4300 Lake Prince Drive at about 5:05 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they saw a single-story home with smoke coming from the rear of the building. They entered the home and located the active fire in the crawl space of the home.
Crews performed an 'extensive overhaul' of the home and ensured the fire was extinguished. It was marked as under control around 5:50 a.m.
Residents had safely evacuated before authorities arrived.
No residents or firefighters were injured. The fire was declared as accidental.
