SUFFOLK, Va. — On Wednesday evening at approximately 5:45 p.m., Suffolk police responded to a traffic accident in the 2300 block of Pruden Boulevard.
A vehicle had apparently struck a man who was attempting to cross the street. Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded and attempted to perform life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced deceased.
He was later identified as Travis Lassiter, 40, from Suffolk.
