SUFFOLK, Va. — King's Fork High School resumed classes late Wednesday morning after a bomb threat reported on campus forced students and staff to evacuate, the City of Suffolk confirmed.

At around 10 a.m., school administrators notified police and fire officials of a bomb threat. Everyone was evacuated while officials did a sweep of the building.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m., officials determined the building was safe and students could return to class.

Minutes after the incident was cleared, officials said a second bomb threat was made against the school. Law enforcement determined there was no need to evacuate again since K9 units confirmed the building was clear, however.

Both threats remain under investigation. Police urge anyone with information on the incidents to submit a tip on P3tips.com, visit the Suffolk Police Department's website or the Suffolk Crime Line website.
