SUFFOLK, Va. — On Monday, just after 3 p.m., Suffolk police were called to a two-vehicle crash on Route 58 close to the Franklin bypass.
When officers arrived, they found that a box truck was traveling eastbound when it hit a truck that was working with crews paving part of Route 58.
The only person in the box truck, an adult man, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Suffolk police said this is an ongoing investigation investigation, and they want to remind residents that it is a state law to slow down and move over when there are flashing lights on the road, for the safety of all drivers.
