SUFFOLK, Va. — A man is dead and a woman seriously hurt following a morning shooting in Suffolk, the Suffolk Police Department said.
Around 6:19 a.m. Monday, Suffolk Police responded to reports of gunshots in the 300 block of Linden Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man dead at the scene and a critically injured woman. The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue. As of Monday afternoon, officials said she was critical but stable in the hospital.
Police identified the man as 30-year-old Fernando Kapri Holland of Suffolk.
Suffolk Police said they are not currently searching for a suspect in this case and there is no ongoing threat to the community, however, they do believe the incident is "domestic in nature."
