USCGC Bear returns to Portsmouth following 65-day patrol

According to the Coast Guard, Bear conducted six counterdrug interdictions and seized a total of 8,558 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $97 million.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — he USCGC Bear (WMEC 910) is back home at Coast Guard Base Portsmouth following a 65-day patrol of the Caribbean Sea.

According to the Coast Guard, Bear conducted six counterdrug interdictions and seized a total of 8,558 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $97 million.

The Coast Guard said Bear also conducted vertical replenishment with the U.S. Navy vessel Little Rock (LCS-9).
