Murder in Portsmouth leads to man's arrest almost a year later

Glenn Wallace, 29, was shot around 3:30 p.m. February 16 in the 600 block of Dunedin Road. Rashad Walker of Raleigh Avenue in Suffolk has been arrested and charged.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man has been arrested in connection to a Portsmouth homicide that happened in February of 2023.

Glenn Wallace, 29, was shot around 3:30 p.m. February 16 in the 600 block of Dunedin Road, according to Portsmouth police.

About a week later, Diamond Woodhouse, 23, was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the homicide, but police had been searching for another suspect, Rashad Walker of Raleigh Avenue in Suffolk, since then.

Thursday morning, police said 25-year-old Walker had been arrested by detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Unit. He is charged with the first-degree murder of Glenn Wallace.
