PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Portsmouth Sunday morning.
Emergency dispatchers received a 911 call reporting the shooting around 11:45 a.m., according to a Portsmouth Police Department spokeswoman.
Officers responded to the scene in the 1600 block of Lasalle Avenue and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital.
Police have released no further information about this incident as they continue to investigate what happened.
